Charna is a dedicated and compassionate Solicitor with a diverse professional background that brings a unique perspective to her legal practice. Prior to her admission as a Solicitor, Charna built extensive experience as a teacher and successful business owner, developing strong communication, problem-solving, advocacy, and leadership skills that continue to benefit her clients today.

Since entering legal practice in 2019, Charna has focused predominantly in Family Law, Domestic Violence matters, and Property Settlements, which remain her primary areas of interest and expertise. She also has a strong interest in Criminal Law and Traffic Law matters, providing practical advice and strong representation during what are often challenging and stressful times.

Having worked in boutique law firms, Charna has gained experience across a broad range of legal areas, including both straightforward and complex Family Law matters, Wills and Estates, Employment Law, Commercial Law, and Leasing. This breadth of experience enables her to provide clients with well-rounded and practical legal solutions tailored to their individual circumstances.

Charna’s decision to become a family lawyer was inspired by her decade-long career in education and her passion for supporting children and families. She is committed to helping clients navigate difficult situations with confidence and clarity, ensuring they feel heard, supported, and informed throughout the legal process.

Originally from Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand, Charna commenced her legal career with a focus on Family Law, gaining valuable experience assisting client through a range of family and relationship matters. After completing her Bachelor of Laws (LLB), she relocated back to the Gold Coast to continue her passion and legal career. Her cross jurisdictional experience and client focused approach enables her to provide practical, compassionate and effective legal representation.

In her spare time, Charna enjoys spending time with her family, attending her children’s sports or events, travelling, watching rugby league and rugby union
