Robert commenced working in Industrial relations for a large employer association for ten years before being admitted as a lawyer in 2000. Robert now has over 20 years of experience practising in multiple areas of law. Robert is known for being a team player, with a friendly and approachable manner to both colleagues and clients and driven by results for his clients.

He has represented clients across diverse sectors and industries and appears in the Federal, County, District and Supreme Courts of Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland, but is just as comfortable appearing in the local Magistrates Court and State Tribunals. Robert has many long-standing clients which is a testament to his skill, experience, and passion for getting the best outcome for his clients.

Robert has held senior legal roles and is experienced in handling complex, multi-party proceedings and high-profile cases in diverse areas such as commercial litigation; building and construction; employment law; administrative law and occupational regulation; family and criminal law.

With admirable written and verbal communication skills, Robert is able to effortlessly establish connections with experts across a range of disciplines. His attention to detail ensures that the legal briefings produced are precise and accurate to a high standard calibre.

Robert is currently head of Kingsford Lawyers Commercial Litigation division which deals primarily in the areas of Commercial Advice, litigious matters such as Commercial Disputes, Debt Collection, Building and Construction, Employment and Administrative law. In these areas, Robert has a special interest in representing both employers and employees, Public Service, Education and Emergency Services.

Robert is proud to have led the litigation team in the reported case of Metricon Homes Pty Ltd v Earl Softley and Shelley Softley [2016] VSCA 60 6 Apr 2016 which had a significant impact on Domestic housing industry standards.  Robert has also made submissions to government including the Department of Treasury, appearing before a Senate Committee enquiry.
