Tumi is a first-year Juris Doctor student at Griffith University. With a strong academic foundation, holding a Bachelor of Laws in Commercial, International, and Civil Law with a Very Good GPA from Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, she brings both analytical thinking and international practical capability to her current legal studies and endeavors. 

Prior to moving to Australia, Tumi gained valuable experience working as a Junior Associate at ASL Law Firm in Ho Chi Minh City from 2023 to 2025. In this role, she advised domestic and foreign investors on corporate structuring, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory compliance. She also developed particular experience handling cross-border commercial disputes, including international arbitration at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), alongside navigating data privacy matters. 

Through her hands-on exposure in practice and her ongoing academic pursuits, Tumi continues to strengthen her skills and professional understanding in a wide range of areas, including:

  • Regulatory Compliance & Data Privacy 

Driven by a strong passion for cross-jurisdictional practice and continuous improvement, Tumi is actively utilizing her highly skilled legal research, bilingual translation, and commercial contract drafting abilities to build a successful legal career in Australia. 

Personal Background – Interests, Hobbies, Fun Facts

Outside of her legal career, Tumi enjoys dance and community service. During her university years, she was an active member of the Hip-hop Dance Club. A fun fact about Tumi is her involvement in the organizing committee for the “Burn It Up Showcase 2023”. She helped coordinate the logistics for this charity dance event, which successfully sold 1,300 tickets to raise donations for the Smile Restaurant. She enjoys event management, teamwork, and engaging with her community.
